ILA Joins USGBC
ILA Lighting recently joined the US Green Building Council as part of our firm's ongoing commitment to leadership in sustainable lighting design. USGCB created the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system, providing third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across numerous metric, such as energy savings and environmental quality.
ILA has been a part of award winning projects that have achieved LEED certification, and routinely assists design professionals and owners incorporate efficient lighting fixtures and control systems. Two ILA Lighting professionals, Don Young and Stephen Lohm, recently achieved the USGBC's LEED Accredited Professional credential. Our professionals also include NCQLP certified Lighting Professionals, a Green Lights Certified Energy Surveyor, and a Registered Architect.
